I just want to thank all those bloggers showing the Cease & Desist film support. Here's another list of some the illest fashion and art blogs that have posted about the Ari film. Show them some love too.
HOW FRESH EATS “Sneakerhead or not, the film touches on general issues ranging from the creative drive to push the envelope, the fickleness of trends, and the power of corporate America.”
CLOS NEWS “Wow, im in awe. He said…” when everyone tries to look different, everyone ends up looking the same”. I’ve been saying that since FOREVER, well not forever but for a while. I love this, and I never noticed the Newport logo as Nike upside down. Man, I seriously can write a paper about this because as much as we love Nikes, it’s not a great company and brand. Can we say unethical?”
PAULIE SNOOZE “Ill concept and even better execution”
GLOBAL GRIND “The Sneaker Nike & Newport Don’t Want You To Cop”
Cease & Desist has been selected in the 2010 Slamdance film festival!
For those that don't know about Slamdance, it's the rebellious, real independent film festival that has premiered some of my favorite films including Mad Hot Ballroom (2005), The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters (2007). As Sundance has become increasingly corporate and limited, Slamdance (established in 1995) is filling the void for new independents, like yours truly.
